About
I am an Irish architect based in Basel, Switzerland. I studied Architecture at TU Dublin, graduating in 2016. During my studies, I worked at Ryan W. Kennihan Architects (2014) and took part in the Joint Master’s Program at the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Burgdorf, Switzerland (2015).
In 2016, I moved to Basel to join Herzog & de Meuron, where I worked until 2024. During my time there, I gained extensive experience across a wide range of international, cultural, and residential projects, including the Memphis Art Museum (USA), the Lusail Museum (Qatar), an amenities centre, a concert hall, a football stadium, and two private residences.
In 2023, I completed my Diploma in Professional Practice at the RIBA in London, and in 2024, I began working independently on private residential commissions in Ireland, Switzerland, and Spain. I am a registered architect and a member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) - Membership number - 25204.
Design philosophy
Shaped by both Irish and Swiss architectural traditions, my practice combines a strong sense of place with a commitment to precision, craft, and sustainability. With international experience across a range of scales and typologies, I approach each project as a unique response to its context — whether that means working with existing building fabric, designing anew, or adapting spaces for new uses. The focus is always on creating architecture that is thoughtful, enduring, and specific: rooted in its environment and tailored to the individual needs of each client. Regardless of project size, I bring the same meticulous attention to detail and care to every stage of the process.
